The Sleepy Hollow St. Patrick’s Parade Committee is proud to announce that The Neighborhood House has been selected as the official dedicatee of the 2026 Sleepy Hollow St. Patrick’s Parade. This decision was made by committee vote in April 2025, recognizing the organization’s longstanding service and profound impact on the community.
Established in 1914, The Neighborhood House has been a cornerstone of support for residents of Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown for more than a century. Through a wide range of programs—including art classes, yoga, exercise sessions, Tai Chi, and Mah Jongg—the organization continues to enrich the lives of individuals and families across all age groups.
In addition to its recreational and cultural offerings, The Neighborhood House serves as a vital hub for community wellness through its hosting of the Senior Canteen, part of the Greenburgh nutrition program. This initiative is open daily and provides nourishment and connection to local seniors.
In April 2026, the Board of Directors of The Neighborhood House welcomed members of the Parade Committee at a special reception held in celebration of this honor. During the event, 2026 Grand Marshal and Committee Treasurer Frank Farrington presented a commemorative check to Francesca Spinner, president of The Neighborhood House, in recognition of the organization’s enduring contributions.
“The Neighborhood House represents the very spirit of community that our parade seeks to celebrate,” said Farrington. “Their dedication to service and their impact on generations of families make them a truly deserving honoree.”
