In support of the Rivertowns Chamber of Commerce’s member businesses, the Chamber is returning with its Shop Local initiative and its sixth annual holiday trolley event—a family-friendly shopping tour—on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 12pm to 4pm.
With the goal of making shopping local easier than ever during the busy holiday season, the Shop Local campaign provides social and digital media recognition of the Chamber’s 172 members, as well as a map-style guide of gift-giving offers from each. The hop-on, hop-off holiday trolley event is a partner effort to encourage the Rivertowns community to invest in the local economy and get into the holiday spirit.
The ‘Shop Local’ campaign, now in its third year, is a multi-faceted effort supporting the Chamber’s small business members. The Shop Local Guide will be available online and in print, and will be distributed on the holiday trolley, along with the Rivertowns Dispatch.
The holiday trolley, featuring student carolers and printed copies of the Shop Local Guide for guests to reference as they shop the downtowns, will be making stops in Hastings-on-Hudson, Dobbs Ferry, and Irvington. Tickets available for sale via the Rivertowns Chamber of Commerce event page. Tickets will also be available for purchase on the trolley throughout the day.
