Kenneth Lee and Judy Sandwell were fitted at Saturday’s CarFit event held at Phelps Hospital. The program provided tips and community resources to improve driver safety and mobility. Both worked with occupational therapists from Phelps Hospital and Mercy College students who helped the couple learn about adjusting their vehicle mirrors, seats, and steering wheels for optimal comfort and safety.
The free, 20-minute personalized vehicle safety check took place on Saturday, September 28, 2024 between 10am and 2pm at Phelps. CarFit is an educational program created by AAA, AARP, and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
