Westchester County’s Park and Read program, which was highly popular during the summers of 2023 and 2024, has begun a fall series that’s running from September through December. Park and Read’s goal is to foster a love for reading in children ages 3 to 6. The immensely enjoyable read-aloud program is being held at Muscoot Farm, Tibbetts Brook Park and Kensico Dam Plaza.
The engaging initiative is again organized by Westchester County Director of Programs and Policies, Childcare & Education Roseanne Finizio, in collaboration with the Chappaqua Children’s Book Festival founder and Executive Director Dawn Greenberg.
Taking place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 11 to 11:45, Park and Read features interactive storytelling sessions in English. Experienced and noteworthy storytellers bring alive stories that create a vibrant and immersive environment for youngsters and their families.
