New Tarrytown Downtown Parking to Support Westchester’s “Best Main Street”

The Village of Tarrytown has won the “Best Main Street” award from Westchester Magazine for three years in a row, but a perpetual gripe from business owners and visitors alike has been the limited number of parking spaces in the dense and vibrant downtown. On Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 5:00pm, please join us in front of the new indoor municipal parking garage located on the western side of South Washington Street for a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new parking garage.

The municipal garage will bring 68 new indoor parking spaces to downtown Tarrytown thanks to a public/private partnership with Wilder Balter Partners, the developers of the affordable senior housing apartments at 10 Windle Park that replaced the former YMCA Building. The parking spaces will be open for public use seven days a week for six hours at a time at the rate of $1.00/ hour Monday to Saturday.

Event Date and Time: October 16, 2024, 5:00pm
Location: Parking Lot #4, South Washington Street
