New York State Senator Pete Harckham honored Cynthia B. Knox, Esq, CEO of Caring for the Hungry and Homeless of Peekskill (CHHOP), yesterday evening as the 40th Senate District’s recipient of the Woman of Distinction Award. As CEO of CHHOP Cynthia has more than doubled the organization’s revenue which has enabled the organization to increase staffing by 280% and offer a wider array of programming to support other community needs in addition to alleviating hunger and homelessness. Her work with CHHOP is her latest endeavor in a three-decades career in working to champion social justice causes and support low-income individuals.
