New York State Senator Pete Harckham and Assemblymember Dana Levenberg presented a special New York State Commendation Award to Riverkeeper attorney Richard Webster (middle) for his work representing the environmental community on the state’s Indian Point Decommissioning Oversight Board (DOB) since it was established in 2020. Webster was an outspoken defender of the environment on the panel, which is tasked with overseeing the ongoing decommissioning of the nuclear power plant by Holtec International. The legislators presented Webster the award at the DOB meeting in Buchanan on December 11, his last day on the board.
