Are you ready to take the plunge?
On February 8, 2025, join Gullotta House for not one, but two charity plunges: Escape from Sing Sing Charity Plunge at Louis Engel Park Beach, Westerly Road, Ossining, NY, at 10 a.m.; and the Headless Horseman Charity Plunge at the beach at Kingsland Point Park, 299 Palmer Ave, Sleepy Hollow at 1:00 p.m.
The goal is to raise $60,000, which will support Gullotta House’s mission to aid residents of Westchester County who face financial or other hardships, food insecurities and helping fire and flood victims. For 9 years, Gullotta House has provided food vouchers, scholarships for education, community events, and holiday assistance to those in need. The organization has also proudly partnered with community organizations like The Briarcliff Rotary, IFCA Thrift Store, and Rising Tide Alliance to provide additional assistance to their clients and participants.
“This is Gullotta House’s 8th annual charity plunge, and it gets better and better every year,” said Matthew Gullotta, President and Founder of Gullotta House. “When we began this event in 2018, we raised $2,700. Our donors’ generosity has increased each year, and we raised $91,000 last year! It is the support of our participants and sponsors that allows us to continue our work of supporting those in our community who need assistance. We hope to continue this upward trajectory for this year’s event.”
To add to the fun, Gullotta House is offering prizes and incentives to participants:
- A friendly competition! The team with the most donations raised at their plunge (Sleepy Hollow or Ossining), will be granted a $500 recreation scholarship to a resident in that winner’s town/village.
- The team with the most overall donations raised gets their name listed at a free future community dinner event in their town, serving 200 meals. Team members may help serve if they wish.
- $250 Amazon gift card for overall best costume.
- Each $100 gift card is for the best costume in Sleepy Hollow and the best in Ossining.
Participating in the plunge is $75 for each individual and $300 per team for up to 5 people.
