Peekskill Pride is proud to announce the return of Family PRIDE In the Park on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Rain or Shine! This free, family-friendly celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride and community will take place in the recently renovated Pugsley Park, located at 1036 Main Street in downtown Peekskill.
Now in its fifth year, the event has become a hallmark of inclusion, community spirit, and celebration in northern Westchester. This year’s festivities will once again feature a robust lineup of live performances, youth activities, and community engagement opportunities.
Headlining the event is acclaimed drag performer and Broadway talent Evita Loca, well-known for her live vocals and international following. The afternoon will also include performances by:
- School of Rock from Briarcliff Manor
- Katarina Mirage and Diamondy Doux leading family-friendly story times
- Dance performances from The Dance Conservatory
- Live music from I.Den.t.T, highlighting queer joy through performance
- Comedy by Blind Tiger Improv with DD
- Special appearances by Legendary Mother Lynda Pink Lady and drag artist Blaque Fridae
- Music throughout the day by DJ Toney da Tiger, a respected figure in the ballroom scene and member of the House of Aviance
Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnic or enjoy refreshments from local vendors at the park, including Kathleen’s Tea Room food truck, Gleason’s & Birdsall House, or stop by any of the fabulous downtown restaurants before or after the event.
A dedicated Family Fun Zone, coordinated by River Towns Music Group and supported by Macaroni KID, will offer arts and crafts, sensory-friendly activities, games, and face painting for children of all ages, all within view of the main stage.
The event will also host a diverse array of local vendors, civic organizations, and sponsors offering information on health and wellness, educational resources, books, cookies, gifts, and more.
Peekskill Pride’s Board of Directors invites all residents and visitors to attend and celebrate community, diversity, and visibility in a safe and welcoming environment.
“Year five, and we’re proud of the momentum,” said Peekskill Councilmember and Peekskill Pride Vice President Brian Fassett. “Peekskill Pride’s mission is to ensure that everyone—whether they live here, work here, or are just visiting—knows that this is a community that embraces diversity. That is something worth celebrating.”
