Feeding Westchester, Westchester County’s food bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Cappelli and Stephany Kirkpatrick to its Board, effective July 1, 2026. The two accomplished business leaders bring expertise in finance, technology, and community leadership that will help guide the organization as demand for food assistance continues to grow.
“Michael and Stephany are exceptional leaders and longtime supporters of Feeding Westchester’s mission, and we are so excited to welcome them to our Board,” said Kristine Borok, President & CEO. “Their expertise, community connections, and commitment to our neighbors will help strengthen our work as we respond to growing need across Westchester.”
Profiles of the two newest Board members:
Michael Cappelli
Michael Cappelli is a veteran financial services executive and trusted advisor with more than 25 years of leadership experience in commercial banking, middle-market lending, and strategic advisory services.
While at Bank of America, Michael led teams of senior bankers serving privately held and family-owned businesses. Following his banking career, he expanded into advisory and mergers and acquisitions work, helping entrepreneurs, founder-led companies, and investors navigate capital strategy, business growth, succession planning, and transaction execution.
“Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with businesses and community leaders across the region. Those experiences have shown me that a strong community is measured not only by its economic success, but by how it cares for its most vulnerable residents. Hunger affects people in every neighborhood, often in ways that go unseen, and I am honored to support an organization that addresses this critical need with compassion, dignity, and impact.”
Stephany Kirkpatrick
Stephany Kirkpatrick is a fintech founder and payments executive recognized for shaping the future of financial infrastructure and programmable money. She founded Orum, an instant money movement platform powering real-time payments for fintechs, banks, and enterprises. Orum joined Stripe in 2025, where its technology is helping scale the financial infrastructure that powers the internet.
Over more than two decades, Stephany has built and commercialized innovative financial technology products, including leading the post-merger integration of LearnVest into Northwestern Mutual and launching a connected fitness platform for SoulCycle and Equinox. She has been recognized by American Banker as one of the Most Influential Women in fintech and named to Inc. Magazine’s Founders 250 list of inspiring female leaders.
“Food insecurity often hides in plain sight. My father arrived in this country as a refugee and experienced significant periods of food insecurity, and those stories shaped my understanding that access to food is foundational to dignity, opportunity, and long-term well-being. I’ve seen firsthand how a single unexpected hardship can put basic needs out of reach. I hope to help expand awareness that hunger exists in every community and support innovative approaches that make nutritious food more accessible.”
