
On Thursday, October 23rd the Family YMCA at Tarrytown is hosting the 6th annual Circle of Caring Fundraiser at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill Mansion.
The Family YMCA at Tarrytown is proud to present Bill Balter & WBP Development LLC, with the Laurance S. Rockefeller Award for their efforts to reshape local communities in the Hudson River Valley. For the past 30 years, WBP Development LLC has created housing and community development in Westchester County and beyond, improving the lives of residents.

WBP works to create well-planned communities with high-performance affordable homes that provide a great lifestyle for residents. Recently, WBP Development LLC completed the transformation of the Family YMCA at Tarrytown’s 100-plus-year-old building into 108 affordable and energy-efficient apartments.
The Y is honored to award Dr. Raymond Sanchez, Superintendent of the Public Schools of the Tarrytowns, with the Leonard Andrew Spirit of Service Award. Previously he served as Superintendent in the Ossining Union Free School District for 13 years. Dr. Sanchez’s devotion to building bridges between school and community while developing a strong educational setting has created a framework for student achievement and positions Ossining and Tarrytown as leaders in the educational equity movement.

Dr. Sanchez has been applauded for promoting instructional equity, closing achievement gaps, and initiating programs that encourage community involvement. He has received many awards including NYS Superintendent of the Year.
