Croton-Harmon High School will turn the gym pink on Friday, October 17 at 5:00 p.m. for the CHHS Volleyball Pink Out Game, a community fundraiser in support of breast cancer research and patient support services. The evening will feature a JV/Varsity doubleheader, along with a bake sale, raffles, games, prizes, and spirit items available for purchase. Spectators are encouraged to wear pink to show their support.
The event was inspired by Girls Varsity Head Coach Stephanie Gaudinier, who brought the Pink Out idea to the volleyball program and has led the planning to make it a reality coordinating with student-athletes, the JV staff, the Athletics Department, parent volunteers, and community partners. “Our players wanted to connect their love of volleyball to a cause that touches so many families,” Gaudinier said. “We’re proud to rally our school and community behind breast cancer awareness and support.”
“Pink Out is about rallying as a community for our neighbors, our families, and anyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer,” said Christine Drago, Director of Physical Education, Health, Athletics & Wellness. “Our student-athletes lead with heart on and off the court, and this event channels that energy into meaningful impact. We’re grateful for the incredible support from our families, staff, and local partners.”
All proceeds from concessions and sales will be donated to organizations advancing breast cancer awareness, research, and support services. In addition to the games and fundraising activities, the evening will include recognition moments led by the team and opportunities for community members to contribute directly.
