Travelers Rest in Millwood

Travelers Rest, a Westchester landmark owned by the Langner Family since 1961, has unveiled their newest addition:  the Tap Room on the Terrace. Located in the center of stunning waterside gardens featuring mature perennials and breathtaking seasonal annual displays, Travelers Rest has hosted generations of memorable family occasions and events.

Recent renovations have broadened the range of events held to include large weddings, rehearsal dinners, showers, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, Communions, Christenings, weekly & monthly business meetings and legendary holiday parties. As the third generation of the Langner family entered the business it became clear that one thing was missing: a traditional bar where customers could come in casually, daily, for drinks, light pub fare and socializing while watching TV and listening to live music. In response to widespread demand while paying homage to the restaurant’s founders, the family converted one of their 4 garden-view dining rooms, the Terrace Room, into the Tap Room on the Terrace, featuring the restaurant’s original leather, wood and brass bar, large-screen TV’s, a special small-bite menu, al fresco dining, and Happy Hour daily from 5-7pm where all standard cocktails, beer & wine are ½ price.  Once the cold weather returns the fire will be roaring in the fireplace and the veranda will stay open with festive lights and outdoor heaters. Open to rave reviews, the Tap Room on the Terrace will also be featuring Ladies Night, Trivia Night, craft beer and wine tastings, and is also available for private parties.  Fine family dining continues nightly in the Lantern Room and on its covered patio al  fresco.  There is truly some-thing for everyone of every generation at Travelers Rest. Travelers Rest is open Wednesday-Saturday at 5pm and Sundays at 1pm. The banquet manager and party planner has office hours daily from noon on.  Please call 914-941-7744 for more information.
