The Village of Croton-on-Hudson, with the guidance of the Village’s Arts and Humanities Advisory Council, has proudly unveiled 11 artist street banners that are on display along Maple Street in Croton-on-Hudson throughout the month of August.
Each banner features a distinguished artist who once called Croton-on-Hudson home. Selected for their accomplishments across a variety of artistic disciplines, these individuals were chosen for their notable contributions to their respective fields.
This initiative marks the latest phase of the ongoing celebration of the rich artistic legacy of Croton-on-Hudson, with more artists to be honored in the future.
“Croton-on-Hudson has long been a hub for creativity, and this initiative is a testament to the wide variety of talented individuals who have called our village home. From artists and musicians to poets and writers, these street banners are a celebration of our village’s rich cultural legacy that continues to inspire. Croton-on-Hudson remains a community that celebrates its past and dreams of the future,” said Brian Pugh, Mayor of Croton-on-Hudson.
