Ossining School District proudly announces that several outstanding high school music students have been selected to perform in the 2025 Area All-State Festival, to be held at SUNY Purchase.
Selection for the Area All-State ensembles is one of the highest honors a high school musician can achieve. Students earn this recognition through their exceptional performances of New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Level 5 or Level 6 solos. Those who achieve the top scores are then chosen to participate in the Area All-State ensembles.
- Saya Mutlu, Aydan Rosas and Mateo Montes de Oca will perform with the NYSSMA Symphonic Orchestra.
- Cora Bomwell and Junot Flower will perform with the NYSSMA Concert Band
- Teddy Aiello will perform with the NYSSMA String Orchestra
- Dwight Murphy, Engel Tampus, Alex Zhang and Xander Bradley will serve as alternates.
“I am so proud of our students who were accepted into NYSSMA Area All-State!” said Director of Cultural Arts Kate Matthews. “Their talent and effort are matched only by the dedication of our music teachers, Mr. Feigenbaum and Mr. Vargas, who went above and beyond to support them.”
These talented students will join peers from across the region to rehearse and perform under the direction of esteemed guest conductors on October 30th at SUNY Purchase.
