Two Lakeland Central School District students, who were selected as New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Inductees, performed at the 88th annual NYSSMA All-State Festival and Winter Conference in Rochester, earlier this December.
Timothy Benn of Walter Panas High School was part of the selected All-State Electronic Music Showcase. Justine Tang of Lakeland High School played the flute with the All-State Band. More than 800 students performed in eight different ensembles during the four-day conference. NYSSMA is the largest state affiliate of the National Association for Music Education. Its mission is to advance music education across New York State for its membership and students in member school programs.
