Students interested in joining the GSNN team are invited to apply
The Greenburgh Student News Network has launched their first student produced news program.
The Greenburgh Student News Network (GSNN) premiered its first episode last Wednesday on local public access TV and YouTube: Watch here. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-U-ICUeuw4&t=14s)
The episode, “GSNN Visits the Historic Greenville Cemetery,” is directed by Edgemont Junior Blake Feinstein, with Woodlands Sophomore Armita Mojazza and Edgemont Junior Ryan Im as reporters and co-producers. They interview volunteer groundskeeper and historian Aad Zeeuw about local history, including the Underhill and Seely families, and learn about maintaining the cemetery. GSNN also spoke with local Cub Scout leader Nick Stableski, whose scouts were helping clean the grounds.
GSNN airs monthly, and the next episode is set for mid-December. It will feature local historian Jordan Copeland, covering Greenburgh history and housing discrimination. Greenburgh high schoolers interested in joining the student news network and being part of the team of producers and reporters can email greenburghstudentnews@gmail.com.
