Come join the Grammy winning duo Andrés Salguero and Christina Sanabria of 123 Andrés for a multimedia, interactive musicuentos show at the Warner Library on Saturday, January 17 at 2pm. A musicuentos show is a presentation that features music, storytelling, dancing, audience participation and so much more.
123 Andrés is a high energy, bilingual children’s music band who love to educate children through song and story. Andrés and Christina have authored four bilingual books and are currently co-hosting the PBS podcast “Jamming on the Job”. They are passionate about teaching and celebrating culture, diversity, and community. Sanabria, a former school teacher, says their work is an interactive, immersive, and multi-generational experience designed to engage children and adults alike in learning and movement.
Their new book, One Elephant/Un Elefante published by Scholastic, brings the lyrics of a traditional Latin American nursery rhyme to life with a twist. 123 Andrés is so excited to return to the library to share their new material with us.
During their presentation there will be a live read aloud along with performing some of their most famous hits. Families of all ages will ignite their imagination, engage in language play, numeracy skills, early literacy and movement. This special event is perfect for the whole family.
Don’t miss their long awaited show. As a gift, each family will receive one book to continue bilingual literacy fun at home! This program was funded and made possible by a New York State Assembly grant.
