The Yorktown Fam Jam is rescheduled to June 20 due to an unfavorable forecast of rain tomorrow.
The event, originally scheduled to occur at Veteran’s Memorial Field, will relocate to Commerce Street on June 20. What remains unchanged are Fam Jam’s events, including live music, a children’s fun zone and a soccer challenge. Food trucks and craft beer vendors will park nearby to add to the merriment.
“Over the four years, Fam Jam has become an essential community connector by bringing residents together in a wholesome environment to meet their neighbors and make new friends,” said Supervisor Ed Lachterman.
Founded in 2022, the Fam Jam event’s goal is to bring Yorktown a special celebration while giving back. As the town continues to welcome new families every year, the festival serves as a vital fundraiser to support local groups.
Proceeds from the event go directly toward critical local needs. This year’s local beneficiaries are the Yorktown/Mohegan Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and local scholarships.
Residents are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs, an appetite, and their community spirit to celebrate Yorktown’s growth and support the local heroes who keep the town running safely.
