The Sleepy Hollow Halloween 10K race had over 1,400 register partipants with 1,138 completing the course and 138 kids in the Fun Run. There were runners from the community, the tri-state and even a couple from Germany participating. $80,000 was raised for local charities at this year’s race
This was Rivertown Runners fifteenth Sleepy Halloween since its inception in 2010, and since then more than $840,000, has been donated to local community charities and organizations. The October 25 race was a success because of the runners, many in costumes, sponsors and all the volunteers. Special thanks to the spectators and local residences that decorated their homes making the course even more special. Likewise special thanks to Prestige Consumer Healthcare and the Village of Sleepy Hollow.
The overall winners of the Sleepy Hollow Halloween 10K race were Vann Moffett, 31:15 and Elizabeth Eickelberg , 40:32.
The next Rivertown Runners race is the Sleepy Hollow Half Marathon scheduled for March 28, 2026.
