An Open Letter to Our Residents: Embracing the Fall Season in Tarrytown & Sleepy Hollow

Dear Residents of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow,

As the leaves begin to turn, we are thrilled to kick off our vibrant fall season with the much-anticipated Sleepy Hollow Street Fair on Sunday, September 21st. This event, along with the entire autumn season, brings a powerful surge of visitors to our villages.

We know that this increase in tourism and traffic can sometimes cause inconveniences. We are working closely with the Village Police in both communities to anticipate and mitigate any issues that may arise.

We ask for your understanding and patience during this time. The influx of fall visitors is crucial for our local economy, and here’s why:

  • Sustaining Our Downtowns: The revenue generated by these fall events and tourists allows our shops and restaurants to remain vibrant and sustain their businesses throughout the rest of the year.
  • A Vibrant Community: The success of our businesses directly contributes to the walkable, bustling downtowns that we all cherish.
  • A Few Days, Lasting Impact: A few days of inconvenience supports our local merchants, helping to ensure the long-term health and charm of our villages.

Thank you for your continued support of our local businesses and for your patience as we welcome visitors from near and far.

Sincerely,

Lucia and our Chamber Board

Lucia Ballas-Traynor

Sleepy Hollow Tarrytown Chamber of Commerce
