As the weather heats up, the students of EF International Academy in Tarrytown are hearing wonderful news relevant to college acceptances. With the diverse student population from over 60 countries, EF International Academy has taken college admissions to a global level, with acceptances spanning three continents thus far.
“Our students and our Guidance Team have both done an incredible job,” says Director of College Placement, Cassandra Dragon. “We couldn’t be happier with some of the results we are getting back.”
Guidance counselors Denby Christ, Angelo Carino and Lauren Connelly have worked to send out over 1,500 applications to schools in North and South America, Asia, and Europe. While some students have chosen to return to their home countries for their continuing education, the vast majority of students have opted to continue their studies in the United States. EF International Academy/New York Headmaster, Dr. Brian Mahoney, also echoed Ms. Dragon’s sentiments: “Our students never cease to amaze me in their contributions to our school, and our community, both in and out of the classroom. I am extremely proud of their accomplishments, and I am so proud that the colleges and universities are also recognizing the outstanding efforts that we see from our students every day.”
In addition to gaining admission to some of the top 50 schools in the United States, EF International Academy students have been admitted to eight of the ten top-ranked schools in the United Kingdom. Additionally, applications are still pending at several universities in Asia and South America.
