Friends of Music Concerts’ 2026-27 season – “Serenity and Passion” — opens with the esteemed Han, Setzer, Finckel piano trio on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, 7:30 p.m. at Sleepy Hollow High School’s Kusel Auditorium, 210 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow.

The husband-and-wife team of pianist Wu Han and cellist David Finckel are co-artistic directors of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Music@Menlo in California’s Silicon Valley. Finckel and violinist Philip Setzer were members of the acclaimed Emerson Quartet for years.
Critics praise the Han, Setzer, Finckel performances as exhilarating, precise, and deeply expressive, making them a benchmark for piano trios. “Wu, Finckel and Setzer have played together for so long (Finckel and Setzer since they were teenagers) that their ensemble is seamless,” wrote a Washington Post reviewer.
Their all-Schubert program includes the lyrical Piano Trio No. 1 in Bb Major, Op. 99 and the dramatic Piano Trio No. 2 in Eb Major, Op.100.
Audience members are invited to a reception after the concert to mingle and meet the artists. This concert is sponsored, in part, by White and Williams LLP.
The remainder of the 73rd season brings return engagements of the Balourdet Quartet, plus established masters Quartetto di Cremona and the Horszowski Trio, in addition to emerging artists Trio Azura and the Curtis on Tour: Dohnányi Sextet musicians.

Subscribers enjoy a significant discount from the single ticket price. A subscription to all six concerts is $240 ($40/ticket). A FlexSub subscription of four or more admissions is $45 per admission, each usable once as a ticket to any concert. Single tickets are $50 each.
