Goodbye, Ocean House Oyster Bar & Grill. Hello, D Thai Kitchen.
The restaurant shakeup at 49 N. Riverside Ave. in Croton-on-Hudson was set in motion after Ocean House owners Paula and Brian Galvin decided to close after 21 years.
“We have been truly blessed to have an amazing group of talented and professional people working with us in both the front and back of the house without whom this journey would never had been possible,” the Galvins wrote in a Sept. 14 social media post. “We sincerely thank them and you, our wonderful customers and friends who have been there for us through thick and thin.”

That set the stage for the arrival of D Thai Kitchen, a popular eatery that’s been a mainstay along Commerce Street in Thornwood for 15 years.
A banner announcing D Thai Kitchen’s arrival hanging from the building announces: “We’ve moved! After 15 years in Thornwood, D Thai Kitchen is now part of your neighborhood!”
The cozy, family-run restaurant in a professional building at 677 Commerce St. gained a loyal following for its authentic cuisine, creative specials and friendly, laid-back vibe.
The answering machine message at D Thai advised callers to “please come visit us at our new location” with an anticipated opening during the third week of October. The restaurant’s phone number – 914-741-1313 – is expected to remain the same.
