Rev. Anthony “Tony” Karlik has helped his neighbors in the Briarcliff Manor and Ossining community face life’s challenges over the years.
Now the pastor of Faith Lutheran Brethren Church and life member of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department is facing his own challenge. He’s scheduled to undergo surgery on May 19 for bile duct cancer — a rare and aggressive form of the disease, his daughter, Laura Karlik said.

His family — including his wife of 44 years, Karen Karlik, and his five children, are reaching out to the community for support through a GoFundMe page that had received more than $30,500 as of May 15.
His daughter said her dad “has spent his life serving others with kindness, faith, and an unwavering smile. He is the kind of person who shows up for everyone—offering guidance, encouragement, and help whenever it’s needed most.”
During his battle with cancer, “he continues to show the same strength and positivity that has inspired so many people throughout his life,” she said.
As his family rallies around him, they are asking for support to help cover the costs of his medical treatments, including surgery and ongoing care.
