Friends of Kensico Cemetery is offering a free Tree Root Systems Seminar and Air Spade Demonstration on April 18 from 10 to 11:15 AM.

Tree root systems are the “engine” of the tree, yet they are often the least understood. Home gardeners, landscapers, and anyone responsible for tree care will learn how tree roots grow, the effects of soil conditions on root health, and how improper techniques affect long-term tree stability and survival. The program will also include a live air spade demonstration, illustrating how arborists safely expose root systems to assess and address common problems.
