Rivertown Film Celebrates its 25th Anniversary and the Creative Process at “Inspired” Benefit

September 2026- Rivertown Film continues to commemorate its 25th Anniversary with a special benefit featuring their annual Inspired event on Saturday, October 10th at The Nyack Center (58 Depew Avenue, Nyack). The event kicks off at 7:30p.

This year’s evening is structured around a diverse group of film and video artists sharing the source of their creative fire using 10 slides at 20 seconds per slide. The evening has featured artists in many disciplines in previous years but this season, in keeping with Rivertown’s passion for the art of cinema, the presenters are all involved in film and video. The following is a complete list of the artists who will divulge what inspires them:

SHAR ADRIAS: Filmmaker, dance educator
PASCAL AKESSON: Lens-based storyteller
NICK BEHSON: Director, cinematographer, musician
LOUIS CANCELMI: Actor
CHARLES CASTER-DUDZICK: Artist, filmmaker, production designer

Doors open at 7pm, and the program begins at 7:30p. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary pre-show dessert buffet, and there will also be a Silent Auction and Raffle drawings. There’s also an opportunity to meet and talk with the artists post-show.

Tickets are $40/Members, $45/All Others. Inspired often sells out, so purchasing tickets online is highly suggested.
