Beyond Clay

Each of these artists is known to us. They are our neighbors. Many have been in exhibitions at this institution. They all make exceptional work. Their energy, craftsmanship, vision are outstanding. Some make us laugh, some just plain blow us away. Energy, artistry, and imagery all are here. Some are conceptional, some more traditional. Each artist has a vision and a style, a practice. Their chosen material(s) reflect their interest. Many started with clay and then moved to other media.
Clay by Joel Brown and Tony Moore. Both use wood fired kilns.
Fabric by Ruby Chisti, Natasha Das, and Liz Ndoye.
Metal by Cal Lane, Robert Spinazzola and Brian Walters.
Recycled materials appear in many but notably by Carole Kunstadt while Khalil Chistee
works with trash bags (not recycled).
Wood is by Carla Rae Johnson and Soli Pierce.
Laurie Sheridan and Franc Palaia both work with mixed media.
Adam Niklewicz: his work is all about the idea!
Kurt Steger: He could be with wood or metal but mixed media works best.
