My Reach: A Hudson River Memoir @ The Warner Library

My Reach: A Hudson River MemoirAuthor and naturalist Susan Fox Rogers is coming to Warner Library Thursday, July 19  at 7 pm  to speak about her experiences kayaking on the Hudson River.  Susan describes the book as “meandering through the river’s and her own personal history.”

A world traveler, Rogers has also written about the Antarctic, Tasmania, Canada, and the southwest of France.  Her presentation at Warner will focus on her adventures closer to home featuring slides of wildlife and scenes of the river.  As noted writer Philip Roth describes Susan’s memoir, “There is Huck Finn and his raft and the Mississippi—now there is Susan Fox Rogers and her kayak and the Hudson River to add to the American canon of glorious nature writing.”
