Sleepy Hollow Half Marathon Revenue Donated Back To Community

At the April 26, 2016 Sleepy Hollow Village Board meeting, Rivertown Runners and the RTR Outreach Board presented a check in the amount of $30,000 to several community organizations. The funds were raised from the 2016 Sleepy Hollow Half Marathon. RTR thanked the Village and race sponsor, Phelps Hospital, for their continued support of the half marathon.

Acknowledgements were made to all the sponsors and volunteers, especially Boy Scout Troop 22, along with the students of Sleepy Hollow and the EF Academy. Several of the donation recipients were on hand for the presentation.

Donations were made to: RSHM Life Center, Kids Club, Neighborhood House, Tarrytown Food Pantry, Ossining Food Pantry, Make a Wish Westchester, Warner Library, Friends of Rockefeller Preserve, Friends of the OCA, Boy Scout Troop 22, Girls Scouts, Sleepy Hollow Sports Camp, Sleepy Hollow Volunteer Fire Dept. & Ambulance Squad, The Owen Kelly Scholarship Fund and two Scholar Track Athlete Scholarships.
