Union Church of Pocantico Hills is known by many, here and around the world, for its exceptional windows by Matisse and Chagall. It may come as a surprise that an active congregation is housed there as well. Union Church is an independent, non-denominational church very much in the mainstream. Sunday services are open to all who wish to attend, at 9 and 11 a.m. (8:30 & 10 a.m. in the summer). Sunday School for Pre-K through Eighth Grade is offered at 11 a.m. An outstanding pipe organ by Glück of New York was dedicated in 2006. The next Organ Recital will be November 14. The first event of the Church’s Fall Fine Arts Series is a Spanish/Portuguese Guitar and Organ Concert on November 7, featuring Pedro and Lucia da Silva. Kim and Reggie Harris “In Concert” will complete the Series on November 21. Each event is at 3 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Admission is $10. The Church’s Harvest Fair featuring antiques, jewelry, a boutique, home baked goods, clothing,
furniture, books, flowers/plants, linens, “white elephants” and a lunch of soup and sandwiches will be held October 15, 16 and 17. Union Church is known by many for its Christmas Eve Services held at 3:30, 7:30, and 11 p.m., featuring music and the Pastor’s Christmas Story for All Ages. The congregation’s motto is: “Come and See.” It is your invitation – call (914) 631-2069 for more information on the Church’s programs.
