Seventeen years ago parishioners at the Church of St. Barnabas in Irvington had a desire to start a sale that would support the outreach efforts of the parish. Out of that desire was born what has now become an annual Fall/Winter Clothing Sale. Over the past seventeen years St. Barnabas has donated over $455,000 to a wide variety of charitable organizations throughout the area as a direct result of this sale. The church receives clothing donations throughout the year that are sorted carefully and vetted for quality. Shoppers can take a break from the clothing and peruse the Christmas room and have a cup of homemade soup in the Shopper’s Café. The Café features several hot “Soups of the Day” and sells frozen quarts of homemade soup to take home. For more information please call the church at 591-8194
