Hot Stuff – Briarcliff Chamber of Commerce

The Briarcliff Manor Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 6th annual Chili Cook-Off on Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 5-7pm. The Chili Cook-Off is Briarcliff Manor’s nod to Cinco de Mayo. This family-friendly event, held outdoors at one of the loveliest times of year, takes place in front of the storefronts along Pleasantville Road from the Briarcliff Manor Fire House to Holbrook Cottage. Local businesses join together and offer samples of homemade chili to all of Briarcliff’s friends and neighbors. Everyone gets to vote on their favorite chili recipe and a winner is awarded at the end of the evening!

This event is totally FREE and includes live musical performances, face painting, crafts for the children, and more! The community comes out to stroll the local businesses, checking out old favorites and discovering new ones. You can also sample some of the wonderful restaurants in town or pick up something to take home for dinner. Scheduled just before Mother’s Day, Chili Cook-Off is a great opportunity to do a little shopping and entertain the kids all at the same time.

Competition was fierce last year and the chili was delicious! Come out and enjoy Briarcliff!

2017 also brings a new event for the Chamber! On June 21st, in conjunction with International Make Music Day, the Chamber will be having a Cookie Scavenger Hunt. More information will be posted when available.

The Briarcliff Chamber has many other wonderful community events throughout the year in addition to Chili Cook-Off and Cookie Scavenger Hunt. They sponsor the fireworks at Briarcliff Community day in September, and hold Halloween Fest in October with pumpkin decorating, music, and a costume exchange.

The purpose of the Chamber is to promote a productive and positive local business environment through programs, cooperative partnerships, networking opportunities, and legislative advocacy.
