WJCS Women-Helping-Women (W-H-W) continues to provide encouragement, information, resources and services for women seeking employment. Since 2010, W-H-W has reached nearly 400 women affected by the economic downturn with workshops to provide useful and practical information.
“Building Assets: Saving and Investing” was the topic addressed by Marcia Kaplan of Ameriprise Financial in Hartsdale, at a recent Focus Group at Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) in White Plains. Ms. Kaplan is a volunteer for the United Way Financial Education Program, which is designed to bring relevant financial information tailored to women. The focus group was part of Women-Helping-Women (WHW), a WJCS program offering free workshops to women who are seeking jobs.
Funded by the Leir Charitable Foundations, W-H-W will kick off a seven-part workshop series on March 6. Led by professionals from various fields, the workshops will cover topics including The New Rules of Networking, Jump Start Your Job Search and How to Manage Change in Your Career Path. Below is a list of these workshops along with details and information.
