Dunkel has more than 15 years of experience in banking, all with Mahopac Bank where he began his career as a management trainee. He currently focuses on helping businesses in the Putnam County market to achieve their financial objectives. He was recently selected by the New York Business Development Corporation (NYBDC) as the 2013 Lender of the Year. Prior to joining Mahopac Bank, Dunkel received his BS degree in economics and management science from SUNY Cortland and worked in the construction industry. Dunkel lives in Brewster with his wife, Lauren, and his 10 month old son. He is active in the community as a member of several local chambers of commerce. In addition, he has a long history of supporting Habitat for Humanity and many local fundraising walk events.
“We believe this promotion is a true reflection of Bill’s 15 years of success at the bank,” said John Kraus, senior vice president, Commercial Lending division manager. “We are proud of his accomplishments. This recognition is well deserved.”
