1 St. Mary’s Convent in Peekskill, built in 1902 for the first Episcopalian Order in the United States and later converted to a single-family home, is on the market for $3,349,000.

The five-bedroom, 5.5-bath manor on 4.7 acres overlooking the Hudson River is listed by Christie’s International Real Estate with broker Andrew Rogovic.

Originally designed by architect Henry Martyn Congdon, the estate sits atop Fort Hill, a lookout used by George Washington and his troops during the Revolutionary War, according to the listing.

Restored after its 1985 purchase, the 5,958-square-foot estate comprises modern features and historic detail. Original stonework and chapel woodwork remain intact, while upgrades include modern baths, a chef’s eat-in kitchen, and a third-floor primary suite complete with spa-like bath, loft and a private balcony.
