Daisy Jopling Returns to Paramount Theatre for Groundbreaking, Multi-Media Production

The Daisy Jopling Foundation is proud to present a developmental presentation at Peekskill‘s Paramount Hudson Valley, Nov. 6 at 7:30 PM.

Bloodline of the Land is a groundbreaking, live, multimedia dance theater production created in collaboration with world-renowned violinist Daisy Jopling, whose original performances have mesmerised audiences at such prestigious venues as Lincoln Center, Royal Albert Hall in London, the Vienna Festival (before 30,000 people), and the Great Pyramids of Egypt; and Indigenous Enterprise, the internationally recognized Indigenous performance company seen on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Super Bowl, Lincoln Center and stages around the world. Blending pow wow dancing and singing, live orchestral music, spoken word, and cinematic visual storytelling, the work explores Indigenous resilience, cultural survival, and the urgent need to protect Mother Earth.

This project redefines what it means to connect communities through art. Bloodline of the Land gives voice to historically marginalized Indigenous stories, invites audiences to reflect on their own heritage, and promotes unity across cultures through music and movement.

At the heart of the production is one powerful idea: the same challenges our Indigenous brethren faced to protect their songs, dances, languages, and ceremonies is the fight we must now carry to protect the land, water, animals, and future of our planet. Guided by the voice of an Elder and brought to life by the Global Music Academy Orchestra, Peekskill Elementary and Middle School choirs, and the Indigenous Enterprise dancers, Bloodline of the Land is more than a performance: it is a prayer, a remembrance, and a call to action.

The Global Music Academy Orchestra is an educational ensemble consisting of handpicked professional mentors who rehearse and perform alongside developing young students of the highest caliber from the Hudson Valley. This year’s orchestra will feature three students from the Peekskill High School. Bloodline of the Land will also feature a collage created by 45 Peekskill High School students working under the guidance of Native American artists Tony Moon Hawk and Marcey Tree In The Wind. The collage will be projected behind the performers during the show.

This production was made possible by the support of the Daisy Jopling Foundation. Learn more at: https://daisyjoplingfoundation.org
