Officer Angela Martello will make history Tuesday evening when she is sworn in as the first femal esergeant in the history of the Sleepy Hollow Police Department.
Born and raised in Sleepy Hollow, Martello attended Sleepy Hollow High School and began serving the village at age 14 through its Ambulance Corps. Her career has since spanned emergency medical services, the fire department, law enforcement, and community outreach.

- Promoted to chief of the Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps in 2019
- Served as Sleepy Hollow Fire Department captain from May 2013 through April 2015
- Joined the Sleepy Hollow Police Department in July 2015 and became a field training officer

- Has led the village’s annual Holiday Toy Drive since 201
