Documentary Double Feature

Rebecca Cammisa, a two-time Oscar-nominated film director, grew up and lives in Tarrytown. She will be showing two of her documentaries at the Music Hall on Sunday, April 26 at 1pm – HEIST and Yours In Freedom, Bill Baird. HEIST was just nominated for an Emmy last month. FREE OF CHARGE.

There will be a Q&A after the showings with Rebecca, attorney Bill Baird and other special guests.

HEIST is an on-the-streets account of federal workers challenging the Trump Administration while it dismantles federal agencies and purges the federal workforce. While claiming the goal is “efficiency”, this administration is gutting our nation’s essential civilian services and the regulators who stand in its way.

Yours In Freedom, Bill Baird follows a forgotten American hero as he mentors Jada, a young Latina student, who is finding her own voice and beginning her advocacy. Bill Baird is a forgotten champion of privacy rights who won the landmark 1972 Supreme Court case Eisenstadt v. Baird which gave single people the right to obtain contraceptives.
