Up to 75 Westchester WWII veterans are traveling free of charge to our nation’s capital thanks to a $5,000 donation from the County’s Veterans Service Agency and other donations and sponsorships arranged through Hudson Valley Honor Flight.

“This is just such a wonderful initiative to honor the heroes from our greatest generation and I’m proud to be part of it in any way I can,” said Astorino. “They deserve an outpouring show of support and appreciation for their service and sacrifice and I hope my fellow patriots can come out Saturday and join me in cheering these heroes.”
Honor Flight will send 75 WWII veterans traveling on a one-day, all expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C.
