On December 10, Tarrytown resident and recent graduate of Boston College, Brenton Wheatley, ran a 2:56:55 time in the Las Vegas Marathon. Brenton came in 34th overall out of 6000 entrants and finished 4th in the 18-24 year old age bracket.

In November he won the Tarrytown Recreational Turkey Trot running the 4-mile race in a record time of 20:37.
