Sleepy Hollow Democratic Candidates for Trustees

For the upcoming election on March 21, Linda Rey, Charles DePaolo and Frank Occhipinti will represent the Democratic slate. The following are biographies of the candidates.



Rey is a principal in the Rey Insurance Agency at 263 N. Broadway in Sleepy Hollow and is the current president of the Sleepy Hollow Chamber of Commerce. She is a Board member of the Rotary Club of the Tarrytowns, Treasurer of the Westchester Association of Women Business Owners, and the Events Chair of the Westchester Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Rey has also been selected as the 2005 “Business Woman of the Year” by the Westchester Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is a native of Sleepy Hollow.

Frank Occhipinti currently owns and manages real estate in the area. He is a current member of the Sleepy Hollow Housing Authority. He is a member of OSIA Joe DiMaggio Lodge #2248 and was a former member of both the Sleepy Hollow Zoning Board of Appeals and the Ethics Committee. He was an Assistant Building Inspector for the Town of Eastchester.

Charles DePaolo is a current member and former Fire Chief of the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department and a retired Assistant sanitation foreman for the Sleepy Hollow Department of Public Works. He was a coach and president of the T.N.T. Baseball/Softball Association and a former “Cubmaster” for Pack 22 in Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown. He is married with two grown children.

When asked for their thoughts on running for election at this time, Rey’s thinking was “to help guide the future of the Village as it moves into a very exciting future.” Occhipinti stated that his interest “is in the future of both housing and housing procedures for the Village.” DePaolo mentioned, like Rey, that “the Village is moving into some very complex and exciting times and he would like to help guide that process.”
