DESCRIPTION:‘THE RUBICON’ and ‘CRUDE FUTURES’ run simultaneously from September 17th to October 11th\, 2026 at Upstream Gallery\, 8 Main St\, Hastings On Hudson . \nThe closing reception reception is on Saturday October 10th\, 3-6pm. \nTB Ward’s painting series ‘THE RUBICON’ and Susan Richman’s photographic collection ‘CRUDE FUTURES’ confront our knife-edge environmental moment with their upcoming shows at Upstream Gallery in Hastings On Hudson\, NY. \nRichman explores environmental collapse through botanical specimens partially submerged in crude oil\, reflecting our dependence on the fossil fuels that are driving ecological decline. \nWard’s paintings ask\, is the story somewhere in those tunneled glimpses of the natural paradise that we exist within\, and in those places emerging that we must endure once we have totally wrecked it?
