Westchester Arts Council Celebrates Black History Month

Commemorate Black History Month with the Westchester Arts Council! From February 1st-March 10th, the Westchester Arts Council and the African American Art & Cultural Appreciation Council present a vibrant and thought-provoking exhibit called Tapestry of the Diaspora: A Celebration of African American Heritage.

In the exhibit, accomplished painters express their creative responses to the history and experience of African Americans. A series of five "LIVE @ the Arts Exchange" performances by outstanding African American artists will complement and expand upon the exhibit’s visual splendor and round out this month-long celebration.

The Arts Exchange is located at 31 Mamaroneck Avenue, at the corner of Martine Avenue in White Plains and next door to White Plains City Center.

A schedule of upcoming events is available on the Westchester Arts Council’s website www.westarts.com or by calling (914) 428-4220.
