Noted organist, Dr. Gordon Turk, will present a recital on March 25th on the Laurance S. Rockefeller Memorial Pipe Organ at the Union Church of Pocantico Hills.
Dr. Turk is Resident Organist of the famed Auditorium in Ocean Grove, NJ. A critically acclaimed concert organist, Dr. Turk has performed throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. His skill in the art of improvisation and his ability to communicate as a performer has evoked the enthusiastic endorsement of audience, fellow musicians and critics. He is a graduate of the famed Curtis Institute of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, where he earned a Master’s degree and a Doctor of Musical Arts, both with honors. Dr. Turk was the dedicatory recitalist on the Union Church’s 2005 instrument by Glück New York. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Admission is by free-will contribution, with a suggestion of $10 a person.
