On Thursday, April 12, a thrilling championship game of indoor soccer was played at the On Track Sport Center in Tarrytown. The newly opened multi-purpose indoor field hosted its first "open championship" soccer match between the number one seed "On Track 2" and second seed "JP Doyle’s" of Sleepy Hollow.

The two teams faced off after compiling the best records of eight teams during the regular season that began on February 2.
The quality of play throughout the regular season had guests and visitors cheering from the sideline area. For anyone not familiar with indoor soccer on artificial turf, the game is fast and the velocity of shots taken is even faster. The match-up between "On Track 2" and "JP Doyle’s" proved exciting from the first whistle. Nothing about the championship game was lackluster. In the end "On Track 2" prevailed with a 7-5 victory and "JP Doyle’s" knew they had given the victors all they could handle and more. Handshakes were spread around and it was evident that in a very short time the community has embraced the Center and its programs. A new season with ten competing teams starts on April 26.
