Graduating seniors were given the opportunity to choose anyone they felt had been "special" in their lives, outside of family members. Tommy DiLorenzo, a Health and Physical Education teacher at Washington Irving Intermediate School and former Sleepy Hollow High School Head Soccer Coach, was that special person.

"Coach DiLorenzo was a great role model for me growing up. I always looked up to him. He taught me to play soccer at 110% effort and intensity. He taught me the game," Eric said.

"It was an honor to coach Eric. He was dedicated and hard working on and off the field. He played ‘sweeper’ for us and was the quarterback of the defense. He had speed, skill and grit. He was truly one of our toughest kids and made "All Section" in soccer during his sophomore, junior and senior years at Sleepy Hollow," Coach DiLorenzo added.

Congratulations are in order to player and coach for the mutual respect and admiration they hold for each other.
