Local Teams Fare Well at Doc Rasbeck Relays

Irvington hosted the relays, named after the former Sleepy Hollow High School Chemistry teacher and famed track coach. One of Doc Rasbeck’s former runners, Peter Oley, was honored at the relay and the Irvington track team which Mr.

Harold "Doc" Rasbeck in 1963.

Oley coached for so many years, took 1st Place (both Boys and Girls) in Class C. Sleepy Hollow High School placed 4th overall in Class C and finished first in the Boys 400 Relay.

In Class B Tarrytown’s Hackley School took 2nd Place in the Girls division and 3rd place in Boys. The Boys finished first in the Distance Medley, Team Race, 800 Relay, Discus and Javelin, while the Girls took first in the Long jump.
