Keeping Our Kids Safe

New Yorkers Against Gun Violence & Million Mom March Chapters strive to build awareness of the impact of gun violence and lobby for sensible gun legislation on the city, state and federal levels.

Join us for our Westchester Chapter Meeting on:

Thursday, April 12, 6:30pm
Warner Library
121 North Broadway
Tarrytown, NY 10591

The importance of these organizations is reflected by the statements:

• 8 young people are killed by gun violence on an average day in America.

30,000 people are killed per year — that’s the equivalent of a NYC marathon!

• The gun industry’s distribution systems makes guns available to criminals and juveniles through “straw purchases” in which a person prohibited by law from purchasing a gun has another person complete the required paperwork on his/her behalf. If you have guns at home, make sure to keep it in a secured gun safe for safe keeping.

• An everyday altercation can turn into a deadly tragedy.

Come learn how you can get involved and help make a difference in your community to keep illegal guns off the streets and out of the hands of youth and criminals.
