Carlos Simbana & Sleepy Hollow Window Washing

Located at 38 Dell Street in Sleepy Hollow is the office of Sleepy Hollow Window Cleaning, owned and operated by Carlos Simbana. What started as a one-man business 6 years ago, is now staffed by six professional cleaners who specialize in window cleaning (residential and commercial), power washing, and gutter cleaning.

imagesIn an interview with the owner, it is clear that the business is expanding into larger assignments, including apartments and industrial sites, demanding an increased staff and commitment on the part of Simbana.

As the business has expanded over the past six years, Carlos has been careful to select his uniformed assistants by their ability to follow his desire to provide complete service to the customer, including follow up, references when necessary, first class window replacement and spotless windows as a finished product. Simbana’s business is becoming increasingly complex as it has grown, with rising insurance and workmen’s compensation becoming major factors. Similarly, Simbana himself has found his own assignment shifting to customer service, job supervision and estimating costs, bringing him much closer to the management end of the business. With the success of his business he has been able to delegate much of the day-to-day cleaning operations to his brother Milton, and to both brother-in-law, Frank Fazzino Jr. and father-in-law Frank Fazzino, who live in Tarrytown. Also regularly involved in various cleaning assignments are Mauro and Klever Garcia of Tarrytown, along with Raul Appracio, Fernando Cerrano and Carlos Maldonado. His wife, Melissa, in her off-hours from her business career at Westchester Renaissance Hotel in White Plains, fills in on occasion with office duties.

Carlos came to the U.S. from Ecuador seventeen years ago and began in his business career at age 19 at Residential Window Cleaning in White Plains and then moved to Key Maintainance in Nyack for 10 years. He and Melissa live in Irvington with 4-year old daughter Ariela. He can be reached at the office for a free estimate: (914) 631-1377 or on his cell phone at (914) 227-7058.
